Back to school... (1)

Our students ride their bikes to go to school every morning. It will take them around 10 minutes to get there. In their villages, the high schools can be very far from home, 10 or 20 km, and the roads are very often dirt tracks… Our center definitely helps the students by all means. The father of one of our boys told us: “When I see the state of the road in the village when it rains, I am so grateful to the center for welcoming my son, it’s so much better for him”

Nos jeunes partent pour l’école en vélo. Le collège est à environ 10 minutes du foyer. Dans leur village, c’est bien souvent 10 ou 20 km de chemin de terre qu’il leur faut parcourir avant d’arriver ! Le père de l’un d’eux nous disait : « quand il pleut et que je vois l’état de la route dans le village, je suis si content de savoir que mon fils étudie à Phnom Penh car c’est plus facile pour lui »
